@Jashoda :

The new version (currently in internal beta testing) will integrate 2 new features.

Resolution of cards is now displayed in the software on the top right corner of the card's page. Old VirtuaGirl 2 cards were in 480p, all current cards are in 720p and we'll soon release all new cards in 1080p.

The other major upgrade is the ability for the software to display an "update" button when cards content has been updated. This can happen if a significant bug has been fixed after release (like a crashing clip), or even better when the resolution of the cards will be updated. Because we're going to re-release a good portion of the most significant cards in 1080p (at a higher bandwidth as well of course). Files will be larger or course, but the current format we've been using (720p / 1300 Kbps) was fixed in… 2007, and both bandwidth and hard drive capacities increased a lot since. Of course each user will be free to decide if which card they want to update and it'll be all free of charge.

The Classics from VG 2 are in 480p
Every VG card starting with a0001 has been released in 720p.
somewhere around a0300 new cameras were used that gave better / sharper resolution.
So I think that's why some people thing the early cards were not HD.

Every VG and DB and VGuy card to Date is 720p.

and Now, soon we will have 1080p

I like the idea. I have a high-end system and very fast internet so the storage and download issues don't matter to me. More important, my main monitor is 2560 X 1600 so I have room for larger images. Right now, the floor show images are a bit small for my monitor.

Will it be a card by card option or just clicking an option in settings? I can see all the members with big collections updating at once. :D
