Is there anyone that has figured a way to apply 2 licenses to one Computer?. I have a multi boot configuration and in attempting to get 2 versions of the software in both operating systems to install and become usable I have discovered the following.
Both installs will NOT share a license even though they are on separate Operating Systems and on separate Hard Drives.
Attempted to install both with the other Operating System completely removed from the Computer (They reside on separate Drives) still allowed only 1 license to be applied to that 1 Computer.
The only workaround I've currently found is to re-register to apply the 1 license to the currently running install thereby crippling the other version.
I have no problem using both of my licenses on my 1 computer to allow both installs to run normally in this configuration; I just can't find a way to get both installs to either share a license or figure a way to apply both licenses to the same Computer. If anyone has a potential solution please let me know.
I don't think there is an solution. I remember reading something official about this. I think it was in the FAQ. But i can't find it there anymore. The only thing is in the T & C that you are allowed 2 copies on different computers.
Starryk I think your right but I'm hopeing some Smart*ss might have come up with a solution that has not occured to me. It seems server related as far as the license usage is concerned so there probably is no solution beyond the one I'm currently using; But you never know!
i don't know exactly, but in my mind the software-license is fixed to the computer no matter how many operating systems are running. when this is right there is no way to use the second license on the same computer.
