I'm a curious guy and so I wondered about how you watch your VG Collection.
I mean especially user with a big collection. How do you pick the shows you watch? I mostly watch the newest shows in the week they are released but that means that the older shows I haven't seen since a while.
I thought about a new mode for a while now and today I decided to try to select all cards that are currently on special. So 8 cards I haven't seen since some time now.

Also how do you set your nudity levels. Normally allow all levels or normally limit it to only one or two levels? I have all levels enabled most of the time unless I'm in the mood for either only the soft or only the more revealing clips.
I'm really curious for your answers. Maybe some of you have other good suggestions to bring some diversity to the shows enabled. Of course you can just enable all shows but I don't find that a good way to use my collection. And I also think it's a pity only to watch the newest shows as there are so many which are great even if the video format can't keep up to the new standard.

I generally watch the newest girls (and Ting) on the Saturday and I have a Playlist of all girls that wear 'Halloween' costumes (and Ting) that I play on Sunday. During the week I normally only play my Ting Playlist or my Girls of Color Playlist. I usually have my girls dancing in discrete mode on the left side (out of the way of the controls of Photoshop and Dreamweaver). The erotic level is normally set to 'lightly sexy'.

The reason I have a complete collection, is not so much for the dancing as it is for the bonus pictures. I enjoy creating 'artwork' and web sites using the bonus pictures.

One full show at a time. Starting for the level 1 till the hottest level. Usually start by watching the less promising shows or some that i can't wait to watch. I still have a lot of unseen shows cause i only watch one full show per session and those sessions take place only now and then when i find the time and can focus only in the shows.

If working or doing stuff, i let the watched shows and trailers to play in no nudity, cause i get too distracted otherwise.

I run it on 2 computers, that have monitors side by side. My media machine is always on, so I have built up a large set of playlists, eg "shoeless, dancers, top 10, etc. I do sometimes have to turn it off though, as it can be a bit distracting... (yes, I'm talking to you Olga..)

Good question Starry. I'm also very curious to see how VG is used by members.That said however I'm not too surprised that so few have answered here. Somehow they are averse to freely talking about their activities ala erotique here and are not known for freedom of expression on such topics.It's always fun trying to express freely & translate it into "tasteful"!

With so many to choose from some babes hardly/never get the choice. But my "taste" is wide enough to allow for many ..er...babestyles.And. surprisingly, there are some babes here who do not ever take me to The land of WankityWhoopieDoo~!

I use all levels but sometimes I have to go full nude & explicit to get the job done..
Once in a while I check "all" and let the girls dance free...I always have an image of letting them out to exercise when I do this...comically I can feel them working out body cramps as the wait backstage..working on their lines..("Ohhhh do me now Plasonic!!!" VGHD is in my startup menu, so when I'm booted up I have ladies dancing for me. I just let them randomly pop up. Sometimes, if their placement is interfering with work I'm trying to do I will turn off the program. But not often!

I actually came up with a good way of watching each girl (although I only have a small collection).

I set the shows going at random (on all levels and) each time a card plays I deactivate it until there is only one card left. It is interesting to see who that will be.

The other way is to set it up to only play one dancer and when you have had enough of her move on to the next.

And thus the VGHDeathmatch was born...

i have all nudity lvl, and i wait the program show me what is want !!!

the only exception are when i must test.

The way I watch my collection is I download my daily girl, watch one show of each level starting from Topless working upto X-Rated, (Although there are very few girls with X-Rated clips in VG!)

Next I download any of the one ticket girls and repeat the cycle of Topless to X-Rated.

Next I put them into my playlists.

Then once I have finished downloading models I select Full Nudity, Explicit and X-Rated clips and play all of the models I've downloaded for awhile and then I select full collection and play them on Full Nudity, Explicit and X-Rated.

This only varies when I download DB cards on Tuesday's or Wednesday's.

So I watch my collection everyday when I get home from work to de-stress. Thank heavens for VG and DB. ;-D

Seriously, all levels are on except lightly sexy, with the VGHD2 player, I have clips set up for the closest thing to stripping from start to finish without it being random, working my way up the levels one by one, creating a buildup with each clip, making it like a full striptease like it should be instead of a random pile of clips.

I still use my player, with my Favorites list.
I have many different Filters that I used to create my lists.
I have a set of Explicit, and Now just X rated.
I have one set for each of the different nudity levels.

I also have picked out a selection of my favorite models, and also Filtered this list of models by nudity Levels.

I have some filtered to just the pole dances.
Some to just accessories.

And then the same with all the different nudity levels. Pole Dance full Nudity, as an example.

I have Combination Favorite lists saved with both Full nudity and Explicit.

So depending on my mood. I will load up one of my Favorite lists.
Start my music Collection, ( i use a stand alone music player, I don't rely on VGHD to play the music )
And enjoy the show..

Many Times I will use the Screen Saver with my Screen Saver background.

I usually set my Player to Random playback, so I see a Different play back when I reload the Favorite list.

But with So many Cards the number of Clips, exceeds the time i have to Watch them.

So I think I am working on a way to Save the Progress of the Playback of my Favorite list, So I can Load the progress back in, and start from where it left off.

@Wyldanimal; :-) Yes that is a feature your player still needs. As you know i wrote my own proggie(sadly in Java) that can use your players playlists and original VG-Playlists too and has this features

Good question. I find myself thinking about how I use VGHD as well, and what could be done to make it more enjoyable pretty often, so here are my experiences and thoughts (some of which will repeat ideas that I've posted in other forums, but which generally don't generate much discussion...).

I tend to have VGHD on while I'm working on tedious things late at night. What I like about the "on your desktop" experience is that it's possible to get things done while also watching clips, which I find not to be true with normal videos and pictures.

I used to dial up the heat as an evening went on, but now tend to keep it on random just to keep things interesting. Sometimes if I really need to concentrate more on work, I'll only click on the bottom two settings and if I'm wrapping up the evening, I'll click the top two.

Once my collection got large (500 cards), I have to say that my enjoyment of VGHD has, ironically, gone down a bit, and the reasons for this are simple. I really like VGHD's choice to play clips randomly and not in any particular order, and I like the unpredictability of the software, but the trouble is that with a truly large collection, it can take 5-10 minutes to click through the model list and select a particular set of cards you'd like. And if a model flips up that you'd like to see more of, your options are limited as to how to make that happen without going back to the console, searching for her, and disabling everyone else (which is to say, you can watch her hottest clips, but there are only so many of those, and lots of other worthwhile clips as well).

So, the first thing I would like is a "tags" system similar to what gmail uses where each card would support a number of tags. Some tags should be things like the model's name, while others might be the categories like VGHD lists on the website (but not as part of the program itself). And you should be able to create new tags, and to enable or disable based on multiple tags (so for example you could hit the "blondes" tag and "natural breasts" tag to get all the cards that fit into those categories or remove the "Sarah" tag if you didn't want to see any of her shows in that particular sitting. This would save a lot of time selecting a group of cards to watch without scrolling through the very long list of models.

Next, anything that requires me to go back to the console annoys me -- the console is clunky and it breaks up that experience of "on your desktop". So, in the same spirit as the "replay this clip when finished" option, there should be choices to "keep playing this card" (which would play clips from the current card until it's unchecked) or "keep playing this model" (which would play clips from all cards by the current model until unchecked). I'd also like options not just to jump to the hottest cards by a model (as there currently is), but also to show the current level of the card and to jump to hotter/cooler levels of that same card so that you could surf through the card a bit interactively without having to go back to the console. This would make being on random with 500 cards much more enjoyable because when a model's card flits by that catches your eye on a given night, you could stick with her for awhile rather than (a) going to the console or (b) waiting for that 1/500 chance to come up again.

VGHD is good, but with these features, I think it would be really, really great, and much more satisfying for long-time members with large collections.

I'm a would-be author (though it's going slowly). When I'm doing my work, I have all my currently downloaded cards activated and with all nudity levels on. I just have them playing in the bottom right corner as a pleasing distraction.

When I'm at the computer but not writing, I have split the cards into playlists depending on the outfits. So I have one for uniforms (nurses, *****, etc), one for lingerie (like Danielle Maye's Black Swan card), one for bikinis (Californian Suit) and so on. On any given day I usually have an urge to watch a certain choice of cards.

I also have a list of my all-time favourites that I have playing when I'm busy with other stuff. So Chems, Vicky S, Jana H, Sarah, Kami, etc all get the airtime their beauty deserves.

I have many playlists set up for different categories by hair color, color of clothes, activity, genre and also use Wyldanimal's player with playlists for more specifics like full pole strips only or fingerdipping only, but....

I think my favorite way is to just select one playlist, set the player to lightly sexy and I let them do their 'come on and buy me' routines. When I see one that strikes my fancy for the moment, I'll rightclick and choose 'show me the hot stuff'.

Just like a real strip bar....only without the dollar bills. ;)
