@SetFuego - I was using the German fair stand as an example of a kind of business practice that others have claimed is not used, or would be absurd to be used, by other businesses. In this case requiring people to play a gambling game in order to purchase something that the trader could simply sell. These fairground stalls do exist, and are presumably profitable because they are very common. After observing them now for almost 45 years I still do not understand why they are popular, though they certainly are. I used them as an example because they show the practice in its purest form rather than combining it with any other practices.

A two-class society will be ***** with this system.

People with less money are not able to spend a lot of money into gambling, to have a chance to win a SE card of their favorite girl. Other people spend hunderts of dollars, because they can.

I really ***** it!
I have to work hard for my money. I don't want you to gift me your cards. I just want to buy them. It's that simple.

I'm not too worried about iStripper customers evolving/devolving into the Eloi and Morlocks. 😉 There's also a third "class" who will own a few special cards because not all SEC events are based entirely on gambling. Some SECs were initially available through fixed-cost activities like the Advent calendars in 2017 and 2018. Alyssia Kent's SEC card was available through participating in various 2018 Black Friday promotions to obtain a total of 10 stars with potentially no gambling at all. (Personally, I thought BF was a lot of fun last year.)

It's likely that two more SEC cards will be introduced with those same events in the next few weeks. iStripper fans should start saving money now by skipping their daily Starbucks and drinking that free swill at the office instead, at least until the end of the month. 😋😱

There was already a simlar division arising from platinum level members and above having access to some extra features and cards but that does not seem to have caused the development of a two class society. In fact the new Premium membership is open to all without necessarily buying a llot more cards whereas advancing to a higher diamond level for most customers requires purchasing a lot more cards.

Yes, but the difference was choice. I could choose which girls cards made up my platinum status and when I got there, the whole back catalogue was available. I am no longer celebrated for what I've brought, I'm denigrated for what I'm expected to buy...
Not buying in means;
400%+ mark up on 'special' cards due to having to gamble.
Selective access to customer service.
4k access locked off.
... unless I buy every show for a year!

Goodbye choice!

@shodan084 - so are you are now finding fault because you now have a choice whereas before you had no choice?

It has been a common feature here of people ***** that they are ***** to do something when the only thing that they are ***** to do is make a choice.

I go to strip clubs.... if/when they are open.

I will go to the club, get a beer (I do love my beer!) and a dance or two. This totem program is the same thing (not the beer part...)

If I like a dancer, then I will buy a dance.
If I like a model, then I will buy a card.

I look at special event cards the same way I look at "dance specials" at the club. I am in the club and I can spend my money on the "dance special" or not. If I don't like the game offered by the club, then I will take a pass. The dancer will be there after the "special" is over.

Since I am not collecting EVERY CARD, my view is different than the people who have every card.

five o'clock!!! time to drink a beer!!!
