I'm trying to add my models storage paths to the directories but not all of the shows are being added automatically...I keep getting a message that I need to add some shows manually...why??? Do I need to "rebuild my collection" or something??? If so I've never done that before and I have nearly 4K shows lol

Rebuild your collection should do the job, about 10 minutes on my PC with 3837 cards. If some cards are not complete, the software will download the missing files and the time to rebuild will be much longer.

Rebuild collection DOES NOT download animation files.
It takes an Inventory
and if Images in the data folder or XML files in the Data folder are missing
it will try to update those.

But the Animation files are NOT downloaded by the Rebuild Collection.
It only takes an Inventory of what is already there.

So you are safe to try the rebuild Collection...

Oops, my bad. I didn't read carefully the help section of the software. Rebuild all collections only updates the file which contains the list of the full shows we have, if it's different from the server.

the Popup text is not 100% correct.

It does NOT DOWNLOAD corrupt or missing animation files.
It only takes an Inventory of what files are on your computer.

the only files it will download are in the data folders.

Check for Updates is the function that will Download Animation files.

In the data folder you have to files named Models
one is MODELS.lst and the other is MODELS.vghd

the file MODELS.lst is the Inventory list of What is on your HD.
this is the file that is rebuilt by doing a Rebuild Collection.

the file MODELS.vghd is your Rights. It comes from the server
and has all of the rights to allow you to play the cards you have purchased.
this is updated when you Synchronize with the server

If either one of the files are corrupt or missing,
your collection will be displayed all Gray, or No cards will be displayed at all..

the Model files are still on your HDD.

but the Inventory or Rights are missing..

you have to

Synchronize with the server
and then rebuild your collection.

All Gray = lost inventory file - do a Rebuild Collection
No Cards = Lost rights file - Synchronize with Servers, then Rebuild collection.

if neither works. Chances are, you're not able to connect to the Serves.
Quit, Shut down PC, reboot Router, restart PC, and then try it again

Also, If the path to the Models folder is not correct.
you can have a Gray collection and rebuild collection will not correct that.

So if after you do a rebuild collection and all the cards still display as Gray.
it could be a problem with your path to the models folder.

My problem is I have several "models" paths on separate hd's but I don't remember which ones came from where...I applied all "models" paths to the download directories and some did not add automatically...it's no big deal I was just wondering why it was doing that...I have no problem re-downloading certain cards one by one as I have so many cards there is no point in having them all downloaded at once if I am only going to watch certain ones at a certain time lol ...wow my head ***** now! 😆

Eh thanks but I think I'll just delete cards that I am not using atm and just download ones that I am...save some hd space that way anyway! 😎👌

No need to Delete cards if they are already downloaded and you have free HDD space, even if it's on a Different HDD.

What I would need to know is this..

What are the Drive letters of the HDD involved?

Lets say you have 1 Internal HDD with 2 partitions
the main Drive is C:\
the 2nd partition is E:\
because you also have an Optical drive and that is D:\ - Not a storage drive.

Then you might also have 3 External HDD, but you Only use One at a time.
Ext HDD 1, when you plug it in is F:\
Ext HDD 2, when you plug it in is K:\
Ext HDD 3, when you plug it in is also F:\

but if you have Both Ext HDD1 and Ext HDD 3 plugged in at the same time Ext HDD 3 becomes G:\

Then I need to know the Path to where the main Models Folder is on Each of the Drives.

Once you have created your List of HDD Drive Letters,
and Paths to the Models folders

We will have all the Information needed to set up iStripper to find all of your Models.

I have three external hd's with "model" folders...but when I add them into the directories only some of them add...which is weird because the downloaded files are in my drives but not registering in the program...I have the "models" folder on three separate drives because they eventually ran out of space and I just never got around to having them just on one drive...I think it would be easier if I were to just move my "models" folder to just one drive and delete cards that I am not using atm...but anyway all this information is helpful so thank you guys for sharing! 👍😎

I'm going to be moving all my models over to one ehd...and I've made two backups of Nikky's cards! 😎👌

I read that she is moving all of her models onto a single ehd. I'm thinking that ehd is External Hard Drive.

and delete cards that I am not using

@POPEYED , keep in mind that if you delete files (and they are later removed from the Totem servers like Nikky Case) you will not be able to re-download them.

I have several ehd's but over the course of 15 years (give or take)...I do have quite a few Cara skins! 😍

and yes lots of high resolution sexy videos and model photo sets can quickly render your backups full! 😆 (I also have a lot of music 😎)
