Smartphone + something like google cardboard (plastic version)

Depending on your pc specs you could pick up a second hand vive kit for £350, not sure the price of second hand occuls kits.

Best bet is to get a second hand full kit then. plenty on ebay, just make sure it's the full kit not a headset only sale.

Buy the occulus Go 32 GB, I dont need the the extra space cause i have a 6 TB drive on my network.Since The best qualities of the shows are GB, you might wanna invest in a small capacity external hard Drive. from 500 GB to 1 TB. both the Hard Drive And The VR headset Still fall under $500. Or download the shows on your computer depend on how much gig you running.

Yeh, i suppose the go is an option if you don't want to play any pc vr games. Would check reviews because it's price reflects it's functionality.

Strongly advise the Smartphone option if you're not yet convinced about VR.

Then, buy a GOOD VR unit, not a CHEAP one when you've decided.

You'll thank me later.

I will hold you to that. I may be awhile before I get either. First order is to upgrade pc.

I am with Trost. Get a WMR headset brand new for around 199 to 250 USD they work great and no external sensors required. if you have a very small budget then Gear VR is the way to go NOT CARDBOARD. Gear VR is a quality fine tuned headset not a bootleg contraption from china. It has extra sensors built in to help with stabalization and head tracking. The experience is smooth and the quality excellent. But you need a Galaxy S series phone. The S6 works but you really need the S7 onwards for smoother performance. You can get on on amazon for between 50 to 80 USD depending on the phone it connects to. Or if you have the new modles i.e the note 9 or S10 or the S9 plus it runs about 100 USD
