Did today - and now I remember why I shouldn't.

2 crystal, 2 medium, 1 standard.
Extras: 1 medium and 1 classic.
(Seems that gives priority to medium quality...)

In all 1 from wishlist.
So I just paid 56.1 credit, to get one card I wanted and 6 I don't care about.
Waste.

I'll choose cards this week from my wishlist (like all weeks with "lucky" box or slot machine), don't need cards I can't see before i buy them.
Not a lucky day when you got just 1 card you want and 6 good for garbage
and no way to trade cards you don't want for credits.

I bought the pack just to try @Lukaszr 's TGIF viewer. Work's like it is supposed to. As for buying cards that are unseen, well, as a mobile user pretty much every card is bought unseen anyways.

I prefer to pay the normal price for what I like rather than buy cheaper something I can not see. For me, it's no promotion.

To be honest, your tool shop comparison is not really fair, is it... In this promo with iStripper you might get, what, a couple euros worth of cards you didn't want - I don't think this would be the amount of such tool surprise deal, if you got a case full of useless tools 😀.

Then again, I get what you are saying in the type of promotion, and the principle of it. Buying something blind in principle is often not wise. But I agree with @gkar45, this must be aimed mainly for new members, still having lots of interesting cards (to them) to buy. This is a good chance to get cards you want in reasonable price AND to get introduced to performers you might otherwise omit. After all, nobody is obligated to join the wagon. One has to think for themselves if the "risk" is worth it. I also prefer promos where I know what I'm buying but I also accept that not every single promo has to be directed at me.

And iStripper must be some kind of a special case regarding some promotions apparently creating such acrimony among regular customers (not directed at you, Serge). Would anyone go that tool shop's customer service website to ***** that "this promo is not for me, screw you!". I think most of us would simply bypass it and left it at that. After all, all the cards (tools in the toolbox) are still regularly available for price that you probably think is already reasonable if you are a regular customer in the first place.

just gonna open 1 box. got 8 cards all crystal clear. would only have gotten 3 of them, and 2 others i was on the fence about, so not a bad haul for me.

I think it's mostly about the resolution/quality of the cards in the package. My 8 cards contained 1 x Standard, 5 x Medium and 2 x Low cards. There are only 15 crystal clear cards that I'm missing, and none of theme were selected in the package - which, in hindsight, is a little surprising if indeed the priority should be in the quality/resolution of the card.

If a torticollis is anything like a tortellini, it tastes really good with marinara sauce and garlic bread...mmmm...

I fail to inderstand why people ***** about offers like these. If you only want to buy specific cards then there is nothing stopping you to do that. If the offer is not to your liking then just ignore it, don't try it and then ***** that it behaved exactly as was advertised.

You misunsterstand my point.

I perfectly understand that some people dislike these offers and wish that the offer was more suited to their particular preferences. I also understand that people do ***** about such things even if there is no logical reason to do so.

In particular I do not understand why they ***** about something that does exactly what it promises to do. Furthermore there are a few that do so over and over again - why do they keep on buying these offers when the description of the offer makes it quite clear that they will get a random selection that may or may not correspond to their particular tastes.

Totem do make special offers that suit "choosy" buyers, but they have no obligation to always do so and I see no reason to ***** if a particular offer does not suit me.

@Serge257 I'm happy that you got enough wanted cards to justify your purchase. I think my odds when purcrasing mine were even less, and luckily I wasn't disappointed either 😋 But I don't want to challenge my destiny any further, so I only took a chance on one lucky box and that was it.

Off the topic: there were some great promos in September, which made me switch all of my weekly purchases to be made on Fridays. There were these "buy 3 and get 4th free"-promos etc. which included even all the latest releases, for 3-4 weeks in a row... So, due to that, at least for the moment, I will only buy my cards on fridays in case there will be more promos including the latest cards...

I know that we are talking about savings of about a few dollars/euros with that decision, but I AM a cheapskate, always was, so here we are 😊

In my case I got exactly what the promo said.

Priority was given to "best quality".
