I just felt the need to take a moment to think about and comment on all the negative posts we've seen recently.

Some may be justified but have been ***** on for way too long.

When I joined Virtuagirl, I knew what I had to pay for cards and accepted the price. As I gradually obtained more cards, I moved up the ranks as a valued member and started receiving discounts. Sometimes I almost felt embarrassed to get 10 free credits (now 100) when I achieved each new level. I've also received stuff in private that I never shared with anyone.

After a couple of years where I didn't buy anything and had more or less nothing to do with VG, I got back into it. I must have been bored one day and actually checked out the forum and was drawn to the Artwork section. I had already been interested in making my own background images so created a few more using VG's pics, using my own style, and posted them.

BOOM! I was hooked :)

The rest is history, easily readable by all members :)



My whole point here is that, when I joined VG, I knew what I was paying for with the cards but didn't expect all the EXTRA funstuff.

I've had so much free stuff over the last few years along with all the discounted cards and seriously, I will NEVER EVER slag off Totem. They have been so good to all of us and sometimes, some members forget these things. Pretty sure I wasn't singled out for all these extras.

To all you old hands that have been bitching recently, shame on you all. You've had a fantastic ride with Totem for many years and have received probably more than I have for your loyalty.

So. Maybe Totem dropped the ball with the Advent Calendar but I still think it was a great idea for old hands to get something for once. As Cartref and others have said, they can't please everyone, all of the time.


There've been other issues too that peeps instantly react to and say Totem are not doing anything about them. As a fairly experienced member, I can tell you that Totem ALWAYS listen to the members.

If there are technical glitches, Totem do their utmost to fix them asap. They are human and as humans need time to find the causes.

Some things may have to go on the, 'Back Burner.' I get that.

I could go on and on but I think we all get the idea. Let's make 2018 the year when our members are polite and when they have issues, explain them as clearly as possible. Without name calling or snide remarks.

But, above all, let's keep the fun going :)

Like you, I know Totem will resolve any problems as soon as possible. If a problem occurs on Saturday, it will probably wait for Monday.
In my opinion, Totem have always done an excellent job providing and supporting a first class product.
The Moderators are always on hand to assist as are many members.

I love iStripper, it is my favorite digital entertainment. There is almost always a half dozen girls dancing on my taskbar.

It is nice to see supportive and positive posts in the forum. You are right, the forum is an extra bit of fun provided by Totem and the members that I didn't expect when I joined for the strippers on my desktop.

Not every promotion is going to be for everyone. Not every girl is going to be for everyone. State you're not taking part and move on. No need for a big diatribe about the company because I'm sure there's been promotions that you've taken advantage of. I didn't buy any of the girls during the spin the wheel promotion, but I got some free credits so I'll call that a win. I didn't get to take advantage of the 100 free credits during the black friday weekend sale because of the timing but I got quite a few girls 20% off.

I started out like everyone getting the girls for 25 credits. After my first purchase I got 10% off plus a few had discounts anyway. After the recent discount on new girls I got up to gold level and now get 20% off. That's really how companies should work. As you become a more regular customer they send more deals.

I'm not sure if this was directed to me but I reread it 3 times and could not figure out who it was intended for if not me?

Just to be clear in English as it's the only language I know.

1.) There is\was no attack or diatribe towards Totem .. never even alluded to one?

2.) I have no problem with any promotion or lack of promotions. I don't care if Totem choose to sell the card at regular price or 25 times regular price. It's Totems company and they can do what they want. As a consumer I will base my purchases on their offerings.

3.) I think exclusive cards are a bad thing for everyone involved.

To be clear, if totem gave everyone the next card free and made it exclusive by refusing to sell it in the future. I would not like the promotion because it includes an exclusive card but would appreciate the free card.

If @doctorwhoa your comments were directed at me then please be sure you understand what you are reading and commenting on before posting a diatribe of your own. And if your comments were not towards me, then why try and reopen the issue in any case?

I fail to understand why you would assume that he must be talking to you and you alone.

There have been quite a few members straight up beating and chastising Totem for some of the things they do. Seems that all you've done is say that you disagree with something.

I think @dar2112v was ***** the threads as I cannot see any comment by that person to warrant a response........I am sure it was obvious to everyone else who the diatribe comment was in reference to.............so it must just have been a guilty conscience working overtime..............:)

I was not obvious to me but in all honesty I generally just skim these forum. So yes maybe I missed it or maybe it was my guilty conscience.

I've let this thread run for a few days, without comment. I wanted to see how other members felt about the topic. (If anybody bothered to comment, that is).

Hopefully, this thread has had the desired effect on other members.

BTW the Death of the Doctor party had some great stories. We watch "Logopolis" which was the death of Tom Baker, "Caves of Androzani" which was the death of Peter Davison and perhaps the best classic Doctor Who story ever, and the latest Christmas story "Twice Upon a Time" which bid farewell to the Peter Capaldi character.
