If anyone knows the true setup and breakdown of the rating system please let me know.

I have been really ***** (much more) of late of how the system works Why do we have established girls with with high ratings in previous cards all of a sudden see major drop offs? Or even worse have very low starting points?

And the same for new girls, no one has bought her cards yet and she's at a starting point in the high 4's

I don't understand?!

Very simple.

1 vote of 5 stars count as 5 points. 1 vote of of 1 star count as 1 point. Number of points is then added together and divided by the number of votes.

Only owners of a specific card may vote.

The reason why december girls are getting poor ratings is because of the Advent Calendar where those who purchaced the calendar gets a girl daily (similar to the subscription virtuagirl had years ago). When ever someone gets a girl he or she doesn't like, the person will downvote that cards rating, thus resulting in poorer rating for cards this month.

This has been discussed in many other threads over the recent weeks.

Even that doesn't totally make sense because you have to have least "post" your score of 5 or lower for it to count not everyone that owns a card are posting, (unless i'm missing another way to vote) and that still doesn't account for new cards/girls

You need to take 2 things into account:

1) People who purchased the advent calendar subscription are "*****" to own a girl they normally would not have bought.
2) Human behaviour. It is a well known fact that people are more likely to ***** when recieving something they disaprove off, rather than the likelyness of honouring the good.

Due to the subscription there are more owners of a "bad card".

I've had the same question, if it's not a bug I suppose the advent calendar thing would make sense why all the ratings are lower than normal.

The low number of scorers is probably the reason.
Anyhow ratings are becoming slightly non-sensical.
For instance..someone just scored zero for Alyssia's card
because they had problems downloading it :-/

I don't think you can rate them unless you own them - at least I don't seem able in software or the web. Advent calendar backlash seems only possibility but that make no sense to me. Why buy it unless you know you want all the cards .. at the very least wait until the 23rd when you know all the cards??
