Good topic. eyex. Some of the older cards are in 1080. You just have to look for them. I'm not saying that 720 was not good. 1080 is better. And 3k is great.😄

I'm waiting for this since last summer. We hope that Totem restart this matter as soon as possible...

Rex had said that it was their intention to return to republishing the older cards in higher resolution where possible, but the amount of effort and time to get the new software stable and old features that were removed put back in, has obviously delayed this. Not to mention the new forum posting options. Let's hope that the old cards are revisited soon as this was a very popular move. I certainly was happy to buy more of the older cards in anticipation that they would get a boost later. Even if the rate of republication was slower for a while whilst manpower is still being expended on the new software, it would be good to see a few getting released and hopefully would improve sales.

I am in fact biting my nails for the republication of some of the older cards too. I am confident that the team soon will return to the usual routine now that the problems with the new software are fixed for the most part.  :-)

I think that once a certain number of cards in the resolution 3K is created before the older cards are republished in higher resolution.

In the picture you can see the filter setting to find the cards that have been downloaded in 720p resolution and a higher resolution (1080p) are available.
I hope that the result of this filter is soon no longer '0 cards' written.

Im still waiting for republishings as well, since there is no word or anything about them, it would be nice if someone from Totem could clarify wether they are happening and when or is it a lost cause.

I was just about to start a new thread with this same topic. One of the highlights of VGHD in 2014 for me was seeing favorite old cards in crisper, higher resolution. I do hope that @Rex and co will start this back up again soon. In addition to being a nice reward for long-time members, I believe it must increase sales of older cards for newer members. (And I've got to think it takes far less time/effort/skill than writing a new version of the software or filming new models -- not that I'm opposed to those activities in addition...).

Card remasters for anything 9 rating or higher should happen.. the older 720 isnt even worth looking at anymore. please update those to 1080P at the minimum. Even shows as recent as last year were being filmed in 720.. please please update more cards..

Come on, nice Totem devs, its not that hard to make a business model on republishings as well, you can still charge us (owners of those cards) the difference, as if they were new released 1080p cards. Just please do it....

I agree with Barley, I would not hesitate to pay extra for upgraded cards. So many of the models that customers listed as their favourtites in Ozbomber's 30 point contest are in 720 and I am sure you would make good money republishing these cards.

Cheers.

Seems the voting is almost unanimous, has there been a reaction from the team yet?
