My apologies for the late post here. Life intervened. Your choices for the Final have been made. While it looks to me like a forgone conclusion, voting will run for just three days (unless circumstances dictate otherwise).

Short favourites are renowned for getting beaten unexpectedly. Is another upset on the cards here? Current leader in Final voting was only second, by a single vote, in her heat.

After 15 hours of voting, the top two so far are Melisa, perhaps a surprise leader, and Anna Tatu. We should not be very surprised, though, since these two girls together have over half of the 15 highest scoring cards of VGHD. Approximately 50 hours more to cast your vote for the Best of the Best.

We had over 80 members vote just in Heat 3, so I'm hoping for close to 100 votes being cast in this Final. So far the total is 30 votes.

Anna and Melisa met 3 times in the ladder competition:
Each beat the other 10 to 6 one time, and Anna beat Melisa 5 to 3 in the 2nd challenge.

Anna is currently number one, with Melisa trailing on second spot, so it's likely these 2 will top this poll.

Most excellent thanks to Rita69 and to Member84392371 for their recent posts. It is good to know that our members are consistent if nothing else. By the way, my vote went to my perennial cutie, Jana Cova. Some may recall I posted a list of my personal top 50 VGHD girls a while back. I deliberately left Melisa off that list, simply to see if it caused a stir. Nope. Nobody cares what I think.

But that's what polls like this and the Ladder are about. Each member is entitled to their own opinion, as long as we respect the rights of others to have differing opinions.

I voted Anna Tatu , she is sheer cuteness.

Well, voting in the final is developing into a titanic struggle between a long-time favourite in Melisa and a relative newcomer in Anna Tatu. I did not expect the voting to be this close. Anna T garnered 28 votes in her Heat, whereas Melisa had just 9 votes in winning hers.
Another surprise for me is the poor showing of Miela in the Final. She finished second to Anna T in Heat 3, and thereby knocked out Naomi Nevena from the Final. I would think that Naomi may have attracted more than 2 votes had she made the Final.

Around 30 hours remain to post your vote if you haven't already voted.

I know people have different tastes but there was no competition in Anna's heat for me while all the others had tough choices. I voted for both in their heats but went for Melisa in the Final.

Hopefully if we have a vote on older cards we can get a overall final between the highest rated cards from both votes.

@Rich55, I think voting in these polls depends on which of the girls any member has in their collection. Because I have been reckless enough to own ALL of the VGHD cards, I don't have a problem finding girls to vote for. Deciding is another matter entirely.
You, Rich, are the first to indicate interest in a poll of the earlier girls. I may put up a simple yes/no poll to gauge the amount of interest. Watch this space.

@Rita69, your post of Oct 23rd is proving to be very close to actuality. As I write this, Melisa and Anna Tatu are locked together, with just under half the total votes between them. Third and 4th currently total 31 votes, which exceeds your prediction by a small margin.

With just under 24 hours left to vote, the contest is too tight to call at this stage.

A very hard to pick cause I do like Anna and Melisa they are both my favorite girls.

This poll confirms what others, including the Ladder, have already told us - that Melisa and Anna Tatu are clearly the most popular VirtuaGirls to this stage.

Yet only 143 votes, from a total membership exceeding 21 million, seem rather insignificant.

@ozbomber: that membership count says nothing and only serves marketing purposes.
the number of members that visit the forum is no doubt only a fraction, and then there's the number of members that vote/post in the forum that's even less. probably from a couple of 100 to a couple of 1,000 members.

@member84392371 (may I call you 'Lorenafan' for simplicity?), you are no doubt right on the money there. Despite my 'insignificant' comment, I am encouraged that well over my original target of 100 votes was achieved. Thanks again to all.

There have been 17 extra votes cast since this poll was declared. Individual vote totals have changed a bit, but the percentages are roughly the same, and the finishing order has not changed much at all.
