I've tried customer service, but none of the options are close to what I need help with. So I pick one and submit my question and get the same lame unhelpful response every time. Some how I got 95% of the cards on this site added to my collection. Which has taken up over200gigs of my hard drive space. I never wanted them, yet some how I have them. All I want to do is get rid of the cards I don't want, so that when the client starts to redownload all my cards again it doesn't download the entire collection of virtuagirl cards. I had to delete everything from my models and data folders because of this. So is there anyway to permanently remove cards from my collection? I have over 900 of them atm. If someone suggest customer service, please provide a link to the right place to submit my issue.

CV's method is a simple solution that will work and doesn't require you to know any computer skills.

If you have fairly good computer skills, I can send you a more detailed method.

Basic idea:
Archive all of your models to an external HD. you can skip this step, but don't recommend it.

for Each model you don't want.
delete all of the .vghd, and .demo files
If you only want to KEEP a small number your cards, then (only if you made the archive)
Delete ALL .vghd and .demo files - Clean them all out...
then just copy from your archive the .vghd and .demo files for the cards you want to keep.

Each Models folder has two files in it that tell VG the card has been downloaded.
by keeping these two files in the models folder, that card will never re-download unless you manually Delete it and re-download it through the GUI.

It will however still show up in Your My collection Screen.
Because once you purchase a card, it is in your collection always.

So you can reduce the space used by the unwanted cards, but you can't really remove it from view.

I have posted an alternative to this on this thread

all you need to do is copy the show file and the trailer file from one of the cards you have and past them into the folder of the card you want to keep from loading then change the numbers of the files to match the folder. after that the card will show loaded but it can't play because there aren't any files to play.
That way you can still automatically load your files, the program will read this card as loaded and skip over it.

I removed everything from my data and models folder to clear space for some other stuff I needed to put on my hard drive. Then I tried putting back the model/data info for the cards I was planning on keeping, but when I start the client up my collection is still empty. I tried the "rebuild all" and "re register" options and neither works. So am I going to be ***** to cancel my membership and start a new one and buy the cards all over again? All I wanted was to keep certain cards. Not all 920 I had in my collection. If I had a massive amount of free hard drive space it wouldn't bother me, but sadly I don't.

No, you don't want to open a new account and buy the cards you do want to keep on your hard drive again. You still own the cards in this account. According to your account info, they're still in your collection.

I'm not sure but, if you've deleted everything connected to VirtuaGirl, perhaps you need to reinstall and then re register. Making sure that the automatic downloads are turned off so you can download only the shows you want to keep.

Also, there was no need to delete all of your info in the data and models files. You really shouldn't have done that. It's probably what's causing the problems you're having now. All you needed to do was delete the show animations by clicking on "Delete Clips" for each card you wanted to delete in your "My Collection" page.

Just a reminder, for about $100 you can get a 1TB External USB hard Drive, and keep your full Collection there.
It Doesn't have to be stored on your Main Hard Drive.

I original tried to delete the clips for the cards I didn't want. A lot of the ones I never manually downloaded or bought didn't have that option, yet they were still in my models/data folders. I guess I'll just remove everything off my hard drive, then try to re download the 900 cards all over again. It just sucks having over 200gigs of hard drive space taken up by all those cards. I did try to re install the client and did the rebuild and re register options, but my collection is still empty.

If I check the automatically download private shows, will that download all the cards I currently have in my collection? Nothing else seems to work for me. It'll be a long process downloading all 920 cards all over again, but if it works then I'll at least have the cards I want back. Then I can just go through and delete the clips to the ones I'm able to

Are you paying any attention at all ??

The card pics will be in your data and models files whether you download the clips or not. The storage space taken up by that is miniscule in comparison. What takes up storage space is the animations/clips.

If you don't have the option to Delete Clips, then the clips aren't there to be deleted. Just the card pics are there. They will always be there.

If you've already deleted the clips from all your cards, you should be able to manually download the clips from just the cards you want to keep. You don't have to download all of them and then go back and delete the clips you don't want. That'll take forever with that many cards.

As far as your collection showing up as empty is concerned......quiting and then restarting VirtuaGirl, synchronize with server, rebuild all and/or register again should be producing some results.

Maybe you should have thought about what you are doing a couple hundred girls ago. who needs 900 cards? thats ludicris! I had tried to delete a couple cards, and all it did was mess up the program so it would crash because it would come to a card it couldn't playt, and couldn't skip over it.
