Steampunk is the worst genre and cosplay idea.

IMO, the overused "vampire chic" is the worst genre, but maybe I'm ***** it with Goth or Emo fashion. I need to watch that episode of South Park again. 😋😉

I usually avoid games of chance here on iStripper because I almost always end up spending *waaaaay* too much. However, the novel boardgame promotion sucked me in this time. Fortunately, I ended up the Kay J card and a couple of nice cards that weren't on my wishlist (1 standard res., one 3K) for a good (but not amazing) price.

Here's what potential players should know:

• Each turn it costs 2 credits to roll a single die (not two dice as are shown on a couple of the squares on the board) and move 1 to 6 spaces.
• Your marker moves left to right on the top track. When it reaches the end of the track, it drops down and moves from right to left on the second track. When it reaches the left end, it drops down and moves left to right on the bottom track.
• The "Move 2" square actually moves your marker backward rather than advancing you further to Kay J.
  
• Beyond the 3 preview clips, Kay J's card consists of 6 standing, 2 pole and 3 table clips with 2 of the table clips being XXX. She starts each of the clips wearing her hat and shoes (and looks incredible!).
• Once I finished and started a new game, Kay J was replaced with a card from my wishlist. (YMMV)

Ahh, you were lucky! I decided to take the plunge as well, and it cost me 38 credits. But I don't mind, I had plenty of credits available and Kay J, in this card, is something special... I love that hat and those welder's glasses :)

As for the real goose game, you have to make the exact number to stop on the final box and finish the game. Otherwise, you go back.

I don't understand the game and there are are no cards on the board I'm interested in buying so I'll pass. But I will say it looks well done. By far the most engaging looking game; if my collection was not so complete I would play and find out how it works.

And I'd heard of steampunk but don't really know what it is but I'm VERY MUCH looking forward to getting Kay's show!

I was excited to play a new game, but I don't really like the cards in the game. If there were a way to redraw those cards, it could be interesting. I will definitely look forward to playing the game the next time it comes up.

I've hit death both play throughs and I may give it one more chance for the heck of it but Im not liking the odds.

Edit - I would have came out cheaper if I would have just waited and bought the card. As with technology having it first always costs a pretty penny.

I don't remember which software version it was...
But the GUI does create a File in the Data folder that contains a list of a members Whislist.

So I do believe the GUI does know and can use the Wishlist to augment these promotions.

I think the same sort of Aging rules apply.
a card has to be Older than XX days old, in order for it to be part of the promotion.

So if you Only have Current cards on the Wishlist, They probably wouldn't be used.

@wyldanimal thank you that explains it, I think the team should put disclaimers for each week's promotion for these kinds of small details, I see customers ***** when they have a large collection and they are unaware of why they cannot participate in certain promotions, I am not too fussed about it as this is kind of a unique situation, however, I won't be participating in the promotion for the rest of the week because I have lost interest due to me being unaware of the aging rule, have a good day

Kind of luck with the game, get the free one quickly. One mystery step give me a "2 step forward". The fact that all card change at every rounds make my last one completely not interesting, that is, the end ! nice game for a minute.

As much fun as the game is to play, ( and it is fun ) it's not economically viable and here is why. I have spent about 300 creds and gone throught the board several times. Considering each card is 2 rolls and the amount of time it takes to actually reaching your " goal card " even if you buy each card you hit along the way the percentages " off " doesn't save you any actual credits due to the fact you paid 2 credits so many times to get there.


In conclusion you actually save money when just purchasing the cards you want at normal price but as always I'm happy to be Totem's Guinea Pig

I totally agree. I stopped after spending 100creds. The way this should be done is when a player decides to buy a discouted card, on which he lands, then the 2 creds spent on rolling shoud be either refunded or deducted from card cost. Totem can keep the 2 creds if player rolls and does not buy.
If it was that way, I would have played 500 creds

Sucker Punch is also worth a look.

I like the innovation, my card selection was limited, but mostly because I have most cards I want. Ever since I saw this Kay J card in the works I wanted it, so it was a no brainer to try for the 10 day early purchase. Especially since nothing on the weekend release made me jump for joy. 22 creds for me, not sure how far I would have gone, but I have no regrets :P I don't mind throwing more credits at Totem for creativity.

I gave it a try and I don't know why. Maybe because of my curiosity. Here's what I got:

• six new cards with a discount added to my collection,
• few cards that I skipped,
• two "Free rolls",
• four "Mystery boxes" (the question mark icon): 2x two steps forward, 2x six steps backward,
• one "Two steps back" (the arrow icon),
• one skull (start from the beginning),
• one free card (Kay J),

The good thing is that by throwing too many points at the end of the game, I'm not moved to the beginning of the board, but only moves me backwards of an excess number of steps.

I didn't count the rolls, but it could be something between 20 and 25, so 40 or 50 credits. If I add credits spend on the rolls (40-50 cr) and credits spent on discounted cards (53.90 cr), it will gave something about 94-104 credits. It is more credits than I could spend buying the same cards in the store. I could get one or two cards more for the same amount of credits. Fortunately the loss wasn't so big and I've already forgotten about it.

Installing a new version would not cause that.
( unless you decided on your Own, to Uninstall the old version, and answered the question about keeping your collection wrong. )

Very nice way to get some cards, I enjoyed playing the game and got some nice discounts and free cards.
But after hitting the back to square one twice on my 4th board, I gave up.

Would have been nice if hitting the back to square one would trigger an option to either go back to square one of the current board or pay x amount of credits to start over on a new board.

Also, I haven't tried it, but if you would set your wishlist to only 1 card, would that one automatically be the next one after Kay J's Steampunked one?
Then when you get it, set another single card in your wishlist and so on, I doubt it's really worth the effort, if it even works...

Pour avoir envie d'y jouer il faudrait que toutes les cartes affichées soit prises dans la wishlist sinon je ne vois pas l'intérêt (pour moi) d'y participer ...

Credit to Totem for a new idea of a game - I don't intend to play myself ( I will only buy cards from my wishlist ) but at least it shows creativity . As for Steam punk ( or any other cosplay for that matter ) - it surely has to be better than the endless lingerie shows - which I am begining to loath.
