i have the problem that the christmas slot maschine doesnt work. Always (!!) came the message:
It looks like we were not able to contact the server :(
You will not loose credit for the previous spin.
Please try to spin again or try to restart iStripper if the problem persists.
The credits are away for some tries, that is sade.
I dont try again therefore.

Thanks Totem. I won 1 free credit with my free 10 spins which was good since I only had 27 credits and would only be able to buy 1 card, and now I can get two. I had bought the advent calendar and have to wait to reload my credits. This is one time where ! free credit makes a difference. If I would have had lots of credits I would have lost 20 to 40 credits like the other time.

If you mean 10 spins of the slot machine, you need to have at least one credit in your account.

If you mean 10 credits, you need to purchase them. Same as anyone else would need to do.

@IAM1328 - If you lose then you have less than you started with. If you can not play the slot machine then you have lost nothing. You can not, by definition, lose something that you never had. You may think it unfair never to have had the opportunity to have payed the slot machine, but that is an entirely different matter to saying that something was taken away from you and by implication that Totem were lying when they said "you can not lose".

@TheEmu - First, I do not by any means imply that "Totem were lying". To be fair to Totem, they do NOT lie at all. It is just that we are talking in different perspective. Totem compares its "slot machine" with casino's. If you play Totem's machine for the first 10 rounds, you CANNOT lose (by implication - credits). That is very true if you play its "slot machine".

On a different perspective -
Now that I am denied the chance to play, I lose my chance to win anything. Actually, this is not the first time and I believe, if I keep buying all avaialble cards, this won't be the last. That is why I lose confidence in Totem taking care of loyal members (by implication - over other members).

On a side note, I had querstions about Totem's fairness before. With moderator Wyldanimal's wisdom, I trust Totem totally.

@IAM1328 - You still have not LOST anything. You have been denied access to it but that is not the same. It is analogous to some group of people being given a present and other group not given one - if I was in he second group I may feel jealous, or that it was unfair depending on why I was in one group and not the other, but I have lost nothing. The situaltion is the same here. It doesn't matter what perpective you take the meaning of the word does not allow for lost being used when no loss occurs.

No billibob. You can't buy "One" credit to get free spins for the slot machine.

If you click on "credit your account", you will see that they are sold in 25, 100, 250 and 500 credit packs.

As i have stated i have no complaint with Totem, just a philosophical point on gambling and winning or losing.

@Wyldenimal (who i have great respect for as one of the most knowledgable and helpfull members) Spot On! No one should have a complaint about not winning when they have made a decision to gamble in the first place

@TheEmu When you are not given the opportunity to lose than you have Lost the opportunity. Or as the lottery advertisements say "You can't win if you don't play", in other words you have lost the opportunity to win by your own decision.

Life is about daily decisions. However slight, it is an opportunity to win or lose on your decision. (You see where i'm going here about Your personal decisions) When someone takes the decision out of your hands you have lost it.

My personal take on casino gambling: Casinos by their very nature are an entertainment venue. I make a decision to go or not go. On those rare occasions that i go to casinos i decide before hand how much money i am willing to pay for that entertaiment. (My Decision) That is my limit. When the night is over i go home having never ever lost, because i made a decision about the cost of my entertainment. But it was my decision, not the casino or anyone else, and when i walk in to spend my price of entertainment i am not told that they don't want my money and i can't play. When those of us who have full collections and have spent the most money are told we can't play, we have lost the opportunity to win more credits or lose more credits and pay for the entertaiment value of gambling. So yes we have lost something. We have lost the the ability to gamble or not gamble (decisions again) and the oppotunity to win Or lose.

Sorry that was so long, but i made a decision to put myself out here rather than keep my mouth shut. Win or lose my decision for ridicule or no ridicule. Thanks all and Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, or whatever your special day is.

Synchronized with the server just fine. Updated to 1.2.186 just fine. Tried the slot machine and... nothing! Just a message saying Sorry - Unable to connect to the server. I tried the 2 suggestions that accompanied the message but still no good. Marvellous and thank you...NOT!

@dy693927he - this particular sub-thread began with @Nicetry's post which was about losing when playing the slot machine and said

"you CANNOT lose with this one!" but all members that have all the cards can lose this one.
we can't even try to get the 1k credits so we all lose

Your point about having "lost" the chance to participate is irrelevant because we are discussing loosing as a result of playing the slot machine. If you have already put yourself in a position whereby you have already "lost" the chance to play you can hardly claim that you can lose by playing. If I have already bought a card then I can hardly claim that I have "lost" the chance to buy it at some time in the future when it might be offered at a reduced price.

To reiterate - you can't lose this one, as Nicetry said, because you have already "lost" the chance to play.

I can't open the Dec 25 date on the advent calendar. I haven't had any issues opening the past dates how do I get the Dec 25 show since it doesn't open for me?

@bigdog007 I also am having trouble opening the Dec. 25th Advent slot. All the others opened automatically or when I clicked them for the correct day, but not today's. Anyone else having this problem?

Nevermind, found the thread with the report of this issue. Everyone seems to have the problem. Supposed to be fixed by tomorrow.

On the slot machine, I would have liked to be able to potentially win the 1000 credits even if I didn't receive any discounts since I already own all the cards. I wouldn't have spent credits on it anyway, so it's not really a "loss", although not having a chance at free credits after having supported Totem for so long seems not very nice to me. Oh, well.

I have 522 cards & have spent over $250 on cards since the days of Virtuagirl yet can't the 10 free spins because I only have 0.90 credits in my account. So lame!

Tried Many times too, But Dec.25, Now Dec.26, is not activating at all.

Downloaded Newest IStripper Browser software, Still...No Luck...

Hopefully, Totem Team will fix problem and leave advent calendar up for today, as well, for those who had problems with their browsers.

@frae next time theres an event like this can it be anyone who has more than 0 credits rather than 1 and above? It seems like certain people in this thread are having the <1.0 credit problem solved for them and others not, and its really frusterating. I mentioned I had .80 credits and couldn't participate like 2 days ago in this thread and no one helped, but other people mentioned the same problem and were helped out. Now the slot machine is gone and I wasn't able to use my "free" spins. Whats the deal? Did I not ***** enough? Was I too polite in my first post? Have I not been around long enough to deserve such help despite being here almost 4 years and having spent hundreds of dollars? VERY frusterating. It didnt help that everytime I started the software, it went straight to the "free" spin page, taunting me all because I ended up with .80 credits after spending my last credits. Really dissapointed with this 'event.'

I updated the client to the last version, checked Kaspersky's settings, checked Internet connection. Everything should work just fine.

UPD: *****, there is no slot machine anymore. Thank you for your bugged client. It seems most of your special stuff is always broken from the start.

Slot Machine NEVER works for me !!!
Not even after updating, rebooting, re-installing ... multple times ...
Always tells me that "the server is not responding" ...
... could this be an overload issue on your end ???

According to my account history, I lose 1 credit.

Oh NO! According to @dy693927he, this 1 credit is not a loss but cost of entertainment.
The problem is that the entertainer (result of spin) never shows up.

You're right, I did not lose anything at all with those spins.
So, let us give it a rest and move on.

The Christmas Slot Machine is over.

On Fridays (Paris time) and through the following weekends, there is almost always a promotion of some kind. Sometimes that will be another slot machine - although the 10 free spins were probably a Christmas-only add-on. And what is on offer in the next slot machine may vary - I usually do not participate - so I cannot advise you of what happens. Older threads in the `Everything About iStripper' Forum (this Forum) will tell you what applied in the earlier promotions.

There will be a new Thank God It's Friday (TGIF) promotion announced in `Everything About iStripper, in a few hours. I have no idea if that will involve a `slot machine'.
