Is there a way to create a playlist directly from the "next" section on the "now playing" tab? We can insert an already existing playlist. It would be great if we could just have a "save as playlist" function on that page. It looks like we can't ***** the cards from there to the other screen.

Please let me know if I'm missing how to do this!

You can ***** One Card at a time. ***** the Cardfrom "next", Hover over the playlist Tab, then drop it on the playlist.
It currently Doesn't let you make a multiple Selection from the "Next" area.

You can do the Same from Now Playing, and History. ***** the Card, Hover on the Play list tab, then drop the card on to the List.

Additional info:
When ***** the card (from anywhere on the 'Now Playing' tab) to the 'Playlists' tab, the mouse cursor must be exactly on the name Playlists on the Playlists tab. Wait for the Playlists tab to show (without releasing the mouse). Then, continue ***** the card to the list. The list will then be populated with one card. Switching back and forth between the tabs allows for multiple cards to be ***** one at a time. Each additional card ***** will be added to the list.

Thanks for the info. :)

I cant seem to get the fullscreen function to recognise my playlists, I have to manually disable\enable cards. Is this a known issue or am I doing something wrong ?

On the PLaylist Tab, Save the Playlist and Give it a name.

Then On the Now Playing tab, you have to Insert a Playlist, so the Cards / Clips appear in the NEXT area.
( check Random, and / or Repeat to control how the Playlist is used. )
Then start Full Screen.
Scenes with more than one Clip Sprite, will only use the Playlist for the First Clip sptite location.
The additional Clip Sprites will use the Active / Enabled cards from your Collection View, not from the Playlist.

That is the Meaning of "Hover",
I sort of thought that was an already known interface terminology among computer users. "Hover the Mouse over the Playlist Tab."
But thanks for the more Detailed description of what it means to "Hover" over the tab.

@ALL

Presently in the new iStripper.
Playlist is not the same as it ws in 1.2.0.84

Playlist DOES NOT affect the My Collection in any way.

loading a playlist does not change the Enabled or Disabled Status of your Collection.

I know they are Called the same thing, but the iStripper Playlist is just that..
a Saved list of Cards or Clips that can be played..

In 1.2.0.84
a playlist Saved the Status of your Favorites and Enabled cards.
and when re-loaded it Made only thoes cards Enabled or Favorited.
All other cards were Disabled and morked as Not Favorits.

Two 100% different Functions.. with the same name..

I've asked, and we should all be Asking for a Way to Save and re-load the Enabled Status of My Collection View.

I fully support keeping this as a seperate Function to the New Playlist..
So I again Ask.

Can we have a way to Save the Enabled Status of the My Collection Screen.
Any Card marked as Enabled, even if Hidden from Viw, would get saved.

Then when you re-load it.
ONLY the cards in the saved file become Enabled and All others are disabled.

I've asked about that several times already in several posts. But I've never received an answer from any of the Totem team about it. And there has been no menion of "fixing" it in any Team posts about upcoming releases of iStripper. It is seriosly concerning me because of the fact Totem stated they will not be supporting VG v1.2.0.84 in the near future.

Somebody at Totem needs to answer the question. Having to manually go into My Collection and manually activate hundreds of cards EACH TIME I start iStripper so I can "use a list of cards" or get more than ONE clip at a time to play in Full Screen is a totally BACKWARDS evolution from previous versions of VG.

Is Totem going to return the function to allow users to "load a saved list" of model cards that either WILL be automatically activated in My Collection (as in v1.2.0.84), or give the user the OPTION to ACTIVATE a saved list of cards in My Collection if they want to?

There. I've asked it again.

I haven't tested this, but it should be possible to hack the models.lst file. In v1.2.0.85 (Mac) is wrote a script that hacked the models.lst file to enable and disable clips. Since there is an enabled flag for each card in that file it should be possible to set that flag. Obviously it would be easy to read an old-style play list to determine which cards to enable or disable. This would be a hack. You would need to do it with iStripper shut down.

I have not yet examined the iStripper models.lst file to see if there are any format changes, so this is just speculation.

Yes, I have a small app that does just that...

but you have to
1) Quit VG or iStripper to save the Setting to a File..
Models.lst is not fully updated and written to the Hdd, till you Quit VG or iStripper

then to replad the file
1) Quit VG or iStripper
2) Reload the file so it modifies the models.lst
3) start VG or iStripper
4) Rebuild collection so the change takes affect.

It works, but it's not like having a Built in Save and load Collection Function

You Have to Quit, Load, restart, Rebuild every time.....

And if you had to do something like that in iStripper now to use "playlists" for the Desktop mode, users who like using the Desktop mode would be screaming ***** murder. ;-)

Thank you for posting the answer to my question.
The inability to activate/deactivate multiple cards using a simply text file ***** iStripper for me, as I am always doing it.

And that ***** pop-up which started in1.2.0.84 yesterday !!!

Is there any evidence at all that Totem listen to serious grievances?

Yes. They certainly read these threads and reply. I've also seen them take corrective action. Since this issue requires programming and adddresses a change Totem probably thought was a good thing, correction may take a while. I agree that returning. Just to sum up what I've seen here:

1. We need the ability to easily cause the full screen mode to work with a predefined selection of cards.

2. We need the ability to easily create a list of cards to support item 1.

3. We need the ability to create and edit play list of the new style in more sophisticated ways than just adding or removing cards one-by-one.

3a. It should be possible to create a playlist from the Now Playing tab with one click.
3b. It should be possible to edit a playlist using all the filter capabilities and save it as a new playlist.
3c. It should be possible to create a playlist as the intersection of two existing playlists. (We can already merge two or more playlists.)

Be careful with item 3b above. That should not be the ONLY way to create or edit a playlist (for Desktop use) or a different kind of "list" (for Full Screen use). My concern in that area would be that someone thinks that just using the Filters tab would be a sufficient way to "sort and select" cards for a "saved list" creation. That wouldn't be the case. The list of filters is not "all inclusive". Just because the list might contain "blonds" or "brunettes" in it doesn't mean I may want ALL the blondes or brunettes in my saved "list". It doesn't help if I use the "blondes" filter to activate ALL the blondes cards, then have to go and manually DEACTIVATE half of the ones I DON'T want in my "list" before saving it.

I'm willing to manually create SPECIFIC lists of model cards I would like to save and be able to reload again in the future, even without using the Filters option. That isn't a problem. Did that many, many times with v1.2.0.84, because the filters didn't accommodate doing it any other way for me. And that's OK. I don't expect Totem to EVER develop a filter list that would include EVERY possible type of filter tag someone would want. What the problem is now is that regardless of how I create a "list" of cards to use in Full Screen, there is no way to USE it as a saved and reloaded list for Full Screen like we could in v1.2.0.84. Full Screen requires that cards in My Collection be "activated". There is no way to DO that with a saved/reloaded "list" of cards now.

NOTE TO FULL SCREEN USERS READING THIS THREAD

StarryK recently (I Just saw it) posted an update to his Playlist Manager program that gives us a work-around fix to load an iStripper playlist and ACTIVATE those cards in My Collection so they will work in Full Screen mode like in VG v1.2.0.84. I updated my Playlist Manager and it works great (although you will have to shut down iStripper to activate the cards in My Collection, then restart iStripper to have them that way). I'm hoping tTotem can incorporate the same function in the iStripper GUI itself, but for now it is a much quicker way to get a playlist of cards activated in My Collection for Full Screen use.

You can get the update (or the full Playlist Manager program if you don't already have it) from StarryK's Playlist Manager "sticky" post in the iStripper forum.

Thank you StarryK for giving us back that function from v1.2.0.84! :-)
