Later this week, all running version prior 1.2.0.52, which are not able to display any card from the new collection, will be disabled and users will be prompted to use the latest released version: Version PC 1.2.0.76 / MAC 1.2.0.73

We worked hard listening to the community of users since the release of 1.2.0.52 in November to make sure the new version was pleasing everyone, that no important feature was removed and that no major bug remained.

Here is the message that will be displayed: This version of Virtuagirl has expired. It won't be able to download new demos or play the cards in your collection anymore. You need to go to Virtuagirl website or click here to download and install the latest version. Thank you.

The update protocol will be upgraded in the coming version in 2015 to be more user friendly than the software going idle and a text message, but that's all that is available for us to use in older versions.

We're pretty confident with Version PC 1.2.0.76 / MAC 1.2.0.73 and will do our best for the transition of older versions to go smoothly.

I think there are two features that many Members still ask for..

1) is Better ZOOM control for the Close Up clips.
at full size 110% Standing Clip size is Great.
but Close up size is still less than it was back in Version 1.1.0.84
So if there was a way to Increase the Size of the Close up clips
That would fulfill all of the Members Zoom requests.

2) the return of Transparency
I have used this, and find myself wishing it was still an option.
Other Members have also asked for it to be added back.

BOTH of these could be on the Advance settings. and Trageted to the Advance users.


These are the only two features I'm aware of that haven't been addressed.

Don't download both VG and DB peoples... you can download either - you don't need both.

I did it to test if there was a difference, and voila!
(Canadians do everything twice- it's in our constitution.)

Why are the dl's different sizes on disk?

VirtuaGirl-------> 34.3 MB
DeskBabes ---> 33.7 MB

I would guess that the DB file comes with fewer skins and/or smaller image files. The difference is about half MB so not much really, by today's standards :)

@Weabul We included the first card in the install package so new users don't wait on an empty screen when the program launches. Different cards have diffferent sizes.

I don't know where to post this but I just got a message with a suggestion to update. Now the programme only displays in the centre of my screen, not on he left or right side. I used to run it while I was playing a slow-paced game or something like that. Don't know how much I will use it from now on.

@darthlama: If you mean that the gui (the software control box) is now centred in your screen, you can ***** the edges of the box and resize it to fill your screen or shrink it and move it where you want to.

If you are talking about the model clips, in small mode, you can click them with your mouse and ***** and drop them anywhere. Full size model clips have always been generally, centred on the screen.
If you can upload a screen cap of what you are talking about, that might help :)

Yes, like @Wyldanimal mentioned please bring back ability to zoom to fit screen. It's been dissapointing to see this feature removed since 1.1.0.84

I've often made the mistake of switching to large mode, since by adjusting the slider bars, large and small can appear nearly equal in size at times. Try to pick her up and she won't budge in large mode. Scared me the first time I did that.

Rex - thanks. I knew everything was fine. Both GUI's work the same way without flaws. I now keep two tabs open on the browser - one in VirtuaGirl, and the other in DeskBabes. It's quicker looking at the two different stores than by clicking on the site map tree - no loading time. Just click instantaneously on the browser tab.

Currently runnning the new version and the only complaint I have is the model / card name mouseover that was in versions before the Great Resolution War, has been missing for a while now. It was a whole lot easier than right click go to VGHD software just to see the card name.

I ***** how the streams stay on the same dances's set for 3 or more streams in a row before going to the next model. I liked the older version where I got a new girl or at lease a new outfit after one finished.

I believe Rex meant that the oldest version of VG to be supported is 1.2.0.52 and up.
All the earlier will be disabled.
So if you have the latest installed - everything's good.

What a lot has changed since I last used the clients. Noticeably for the better I might add.

Just one question, why the need to download clips twice now for the same account? Are they now tied to a machine instead of the user? I don't mind because I'm now on a different ISP without the stupid limits the former imposed. Just curious.

Unless you have a Shared Network Folder.. where both computers can access the same Models folders.
on two different computers you would need a seperate set of Models folders.

But you Could....

Download on One computer, then Copy from that computer to the other one.

Then on the other one, you would need to run the Rebuild All, so it sees the new cards.

But even with a shared Network folder, you still need to run the rebuild all so the other computer can See the new cards.

( Each Computer must be using the Exact same Totem Member account, and Must have it's Own set of Data Folders )
