I aint buying another card until totem fix model scaling for 720 and 1080 cards like in 1.1.0.84, I just wanted to try 1.2... And to my surprise the feature to scale the models was gone, and the 720 models are TINY. And the WORST PART

I CANT GO BACK TO 1.1.0.84 ! even with the install exe for 84, says i´m not allowed to use it,

I really disslike this, and I aint buying another card until the feature is returned
Or just let ous use 1.1.0.84 as a quick fix

=(

There were and are plenty warnings that you can't go back to an older version, which is why I'm still running the december 2013 version with scaling. It's still a disappointment though that you can't go back to an old version..

There may be one thing that can be done to return to an older version. It is to do a "computer restaure system to an earlier date". A date of course before you changed version. Just make sure the program is closed too before you do.
I haven't tried it in like forever, but I don't see why it would not work with vg.

Warnings are usually hidden in some place you will never accidentally wander. To find any warnings you will need to specifically look for them. Apllies to most things on the Internet. The only warnings that are clearly visible have something to do with nudity or sex.

I personally ignore most warnings though. Either any problems will be fixed later or I'll just raise a shitstorm to make things right. Not sure what the fuss is about this time though as I haven't seen a single version yet that has handled the scaling properly. Maybe there was one working version at some point and I missed it.

@SatansFarmor: you may be right, if you're a new member or you're hardly ever on the forum then you could have installed the new version without seeing the warning.
Perhaps next time you will check the forum post about the new version.
Also, let's hope the sizing options will return in a new version.

AS with the many New version that Totem has released over the Years.
Any time there has been a change in Version Number, it was not possible to go backwards.

example..
1.0.xxx to 1.1.xxx - cant go back to 1.0.xxx
1.1.xxx to 1.2.xxx - cant go back to 1.1.xxx

And both side are fundamentally correct..

While the new version was in Beta, their were plenty of warning in bold red that you couldn't go backwards..

But once it became the New Official Version.
Warnings, no longer need be posted.
It is, the Official version.

There have been many threads and discussions regarding the Sizing of the Clips.
Totem experimented with different options.

Totem is now Producing Cards properly Sized to fit the Resolution of your screen, and that should be what you Download.
Cards to Fit on Your Screen that don't need on the fly sizing.

1080p cards will fit the minimum 1080p screen size
720p cards will fit the minimum 720p screen size

If your Screen is somewhere in between 720p and not fully 1080p,
or your PC performance is low to mid range,
then it is recommended that you use 720p size cards.

If your Screen is 1080p or larger, and your PC performance is high then you should use the 1080p cards.

Not all Cards are 1080p:
Totem is in the process of Converting all of the older 720p cards ( from mid 2010 and Newer ) to 1080p.

Sizing only is an Issue if you have a mix of 1080p and 720p cards.

Advanced Software controls to Upsize or Downsize clips have been requested, and hopefully, Totem will hear our request and we see it in a future release.

Interesting information:
As of Today: the Majority of users still have 720p based Screen sizes.
they out number 1080p screens 2.4 to 1.
So the Bulk of Totems users are probably still using 720p screens.

Totem has to provide a GUI and Cards to support all members equally as well, the best they can.

Stats:
http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_display.asp
68% 720p size vs 28% 1080p size ( the Other Sizes taken into account )

EDIT: The Bar Graph is Better than the Line Graph

I didn't include the Classics as I consider them to be a product all to them self.
Best Enjoyed in their Non-Resized Format of 480p.

Full screen mode scales all shows the same if that's how they're set in the scn file, aside from bounding box sizes.

Above pic from top left, original 720p, current 1080p, 720p yet to be redone in 1080p. From bottom left, 1080p re-release, classic, 1080p 3k standing clip. I finally found an actual use for my high girl count scenes.;-)

I have a 1080 p monitor with 1.1.0.84 I could have both 1080p and 720 to the same hight, new version I cant, its that simple, Why should I choose to have small models and then have very few that fits the screen, when I say fit the screen the are very very close to the roof of the screen. and never above and thats both 720 and 1080p, thats what everyone whants.

You say we got warnings in the beta...obviously I DIDENT download the beta version and when there is no warning I obviously take it as ITS no problem to go back to older version because it have never been a problem before.

Its like putting a waring "electric fence" around the contruction site and when the contruction is done the fence is still there but the warning sign is removed.

@SatansFarmor: The way you have put your argument in your last post makes it very hard to disagree!

I was very reluctant to try out the 1.2 xxx versions for the exact same reasons that you are now troubled with :( I was following the betas for some time and the warnings about not being able to revert to 1.1 xxx were there, clear as daylight.

However, I agree that if you don't follow the forums so much, you won't get these warnings. Maybe in future, it would be a simple task for Totem to add a small "READ ME FIRST" box under the download link for each new upgrade? This could link to an explanation of the changes...

Anyway, on the BRIGHT side, have you checked out what you can do with the new Fullscreen mode? There is a thread here where users can discuss and post their own, user-created scenes, backgrounds, animations or whatever! There's tons of stuff by very talented people here. If your computer has the power, how about watching 15 different girls stripping at the same time??? ;) (A nod to Zebrazuk).

Check the thread out here:

Alles über iStripper / Discussions for Scenes for Version 1.2.X Fullscreen Mode here
I decided its time to start a thread for customized scenes like we had for customized skins. I am not sure if the artwork forum section is the right place so if the Mods think this should go into anot...
It's not ALL bad, my friend :)

Well hopefully Totem simply fixes this feature back into the software, then we all can be happy and quiet again! That really is the ultimate solution to all this discussion...

I.E.- NEW USER ??????????

For the new user is going to be discoureged ( they won't be able to enjoy the show at different height )

I've enjoyed 1.1.0.84 all SHOW .
Now I have 1.2.0.26 On DESKTOP I'm watching 1080 show only .
At FULLSHOW then i have ALL SHOW at same height .

The full screen sizing looks promising, but will that feature be made available in the 'normal' mode of VGHD (on top of other programs)? I'd still like to have 2 or more girls on my regular screen, but I'll need a new videocard probably.

Hey SiaBaz, what is your question exactly?

They used to have more advanced sizing features back in .84 and older but they took them out to "simplify things for new users", which I believe as a big huge mistake! They have said they will bring those options back in a later version of the software putting them in a special advanced only section or something like that for those who can handle them, but clearly marked as don't touch unless you really know what your doing!

You can still manually set the height at any time by playing with the size sliders, but if your going back and forth between 720p and 1080p shows you will have to constantly be re-adjusting your settings back and forth to match was is currently playing. These removed options gave you auto resize options that fixed this problem. New we are all asking Totem over and over to please bring these options back!

Does that answer your question?

No , I don't understand !!!!

1.1.0.84 it's been nearly a year . So tell me how long is it going to be when TOTEM does release the advanced feature ?????

I have been patient for so long . 6 or 7> month when they took the feature away .

I have advanced PC that cost me alot of money upgrading . ( I can do multi-tasking - I have 2 or 3 monitor connected to 1 PC :- Play GAMES on 1 monitor , WATCH movies on 2nd monitor & have VG playing all at same time , at sometimes I have 3rd monitor for work ( browsing ))

I know some have budget PC that can't handle everything .

But my friends thinks I'm crazy having over 2000 model show . On there system software crashes & they got BORED of it ,so they stopped using it . ( I think it's more the cost's )

I would like to enjoy the VG ,DB & Classic's show .( With this advanced feature )

And what would be great having multi VG on DESKTOP .
