It was hard to come up with a topic name for this question.

Here's what I'm asking, whether Totem can quickly key in or the mods can key in here:

I want to (and some members in the past have done) print t-shirts, coffee mugs, posters, cards, etc. bearing the photos of our virtuagirls using the images provided in the cards we "own." I was wondering if Totem had anything against this, even though I'd be going through an independent press to create these items.

A few notes:

A) None of the items will be sold or given away. It will be personal use only.

B) All materials will have the Deskbabes logo or VirtuaGirl logo on it to identify the source of the image or information.

Before I designed something (for myself), I just wanted to just ask to make sure if this was OK to do.

My guess is that they'll say, "Go ahead." It's free advertizing for them. But what a good citizen you are for asking! :P

Totem did have a range of printed products a number of years ago, caps, mugs & mosue mats I think.

I gather that they didn't sell so well because they stopped it.

I bought a cap at one stage, then was given one as a thank you for something.

They also at one stage released a DVD for some of the more popular VG2 models.

TotemRex would know better on this.

I have a feeling Totem would be OK with it all, but ya, I'm playing the good citizen role here and just making sure. :-)

I just thought it would be fun to print up a couple things. I'll wait to see if any of the Totem team members chime in here. (PM me Totem if you don't want to publicly discuss anything).

I can see what you are saying Cartef, it seems like a smart idea to make merchandise, but because of social stigmas, rolling around with "VirtuaGirl" cap doesn't take well in most societies. Hence, they probably didn't sell well and Totem nixed the idea of creating physical merchandise (t-shirts, hats, posters, etc.)

I'm just a bold fellow and not afraid to have a naked Blue Angel coffee mug to sip out of during my morning rituals. :-)
