I cannot seem to find the New Version for IStripper--is it necessary to go directly to site to download...?

Go to the iStripper settings (using the gearwheel icon of those in the app's title bar). Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on Check For Updates. The current version is 1.2.2.42 - not the one in the title of this thread which was new 10 years ago.
