Ok, due to popular request, (well, not so much as popular, more like some that wonder now and then, lol), it’s time to add another chapter to this thread.

You know, the more you’re around here, the more you get to see the same questions posted again and again. Those that hanged around for long enough got to know lots of the answers to those questions. Most of the time, veteran users and mods reply once again to the inevitable resurface of the question.

How they know? Well, getting answers from Totem is sometimes harder than pulling a tooth from a living shark swimming in the cold dark sea using a piece of string and a pray to survive (those who did that know how hard it gets). But the fact is that once upon a time, in some counted occasions, sometimes a long time ago, Totem did answer to the questions and those answers are the ones that savvy users provide again as time goes by.

Now, often the questions were made by many users along the way, and the answers are scattered around in several threads, so is kinda easier to compose a unique question and show the answers that were given, whenever that happened.

Sometimes, also, questions and more questions leaded to some information, there and there, that once gathered gives a nice idea about why some things are the way they are… or not. Some answers became facts and actions, some not, some were facts that later transformed into something different and many still have interest in the present. The questions and the answers are funny to read cause they show the evolution of things in a very peculiar way, history related in the form of a conversation.

As you can see, this is a very old post about a common request. We currently have 16 cards released each month with one additional as a VIP card. 17 instead of 12 each month is a nicer deal for the fully stocked users that chose to buy a subscription even when there are not enough cards available to get a girl each day.

This “letter” is actually a post that a female user, Funboy, made a long time ago. I wanted to recover it here. The real picture is the one above.

THE TOTEM, THE EXPLICITNESS AND THE DESKBABES.

Asking for more explicit shows is as old as the product. Sometimes the content was harder, sometimes it was dull. Today is mostly fine (some more about this theme can be found on this very thread). Now, is the intention to get a feel about how the matter progressed and, as a matter of fact, directly and indirectly, leaded to the creation of a new product: DeskBabes.

The campaign in pro for more ethnic diversity is also a long one. Despite a few victories now and then, it still looks like it could end up as Napoleon’s campaign in Russia. There are plenty of threads and post and proposals about chicks from ethnicities other than Caucasians, yet the feedback is really scarce and the facts are scarcer as the answers to the questions.

Well, lately we scored some Asians and some Latina look like chicks, but no chocolate honeys.

Mostly an unfinished business, this diversity stuff, but let’s see what brings the future by looking behind.

A “CLASSIC” TALE

Now, as the final kinda large segment of this thing, the little overview about the Classic collection.

As you might have noticed, there are several gaps in the Girls pages. Plenty shows never saw the light of day. The reasons are many, from lack of interest to totally ruined material. Lately, even a lawsuit made a hole in the numeration and the whole Camilla’s set was removed, nobody knows if forever.

Well, the point is that is relatively safe to argue that the constant interest from several users along the way regarding the whereabouts of the missing shows motivated the company to release some of those cards sometime ago and, maybe, provided some support to the long time caressed idea about bringing to life the old shows that Totem produced for past products. Old timers here campaigned also for a long time to see their past favorites again. And it happened.

So, a long time after that, the unreleased cards started to pop up little by little each Friday. Some loved to see them, some ***** them; nevertheless, several gaps were filled back then. The serious gap filling started to happen around 600 days ago.

Cards 255-260, as mentioned before, belonged to some chick named Camilla, they are gone now. Those who already had her shows before the ***** removal occurred can still play the cards. Other users… bad luck. The first row of pics are the now missing Camilla’s shows.

Second row of pics are known card illustrations that never saw the light.

The rest here is compilation of images about some of the missing shows (the user flamingo made the compilation). Currently, as you can see, several of the shows missing back then are already released.

This pic was posted by Rex to show the stuff they are using to bring the old shows back to life.

And yup, with no bigger ceremony, the Classic collection saw the light a week later, 261 days ago.

The Classic cards are only for platinum level and above, by the way. And they are not in HD quality; this is something that brings questions over and over to date, lol.

One of the most controversial and commented events ever was one related to a Russian site that basically cloned VG. Those guys took almost everything from this site and when the users and Totem found out, well, it was scandalous.

Since the discussion is now in the platinum forum, is kinda reserved now and it’s a long forgotten theme, but it made history and, yup, it originated some changes here, good changes and innovation.

The clone had some good features, but Totem improved a lot since then in many aspects and is safe to say that they are by far better now in all aspects than the copycats. Hey, they even scored two former chicks from that site: Olga Barz and Mandy Dee.
